So I was told, by a person at my bank, the way I spell my last name was strange. Strange in they never came across “Xavier” spelled as “Xexiar” lol
To be fair… I mix letters all the time, not to mention having trouble with reading and writing for years. So spelling it as Xexiar makes sense to me.
It has the same letter count. The X, I, and R are in the right place. I have always switched the E and A to where I was always yelled at. So… yeah. I spelled my new name in a way that makes sense to me, which makes me extremely happy.
…
Thinking about it now I think it’s called Dyslexia. I have a language problem. From hearing, pronunciation, spelling, reading, writing, all of it. My teachers and family hated me for not being able to do basic literature lol
Yet if you give me math problems (not in paragraph format that I have to read) I’ll excel. Like I have to rely on voice to text and google to help me write stuff and understand things. Thank you technology! (I had to use said tech to write this post.)
Fam would get pissed if I get the wrong thing when forcing me to do shopping trips. They get mad and scream that I should have read the product. Which I did and still was confused. They even get annoyed when I ask them to give me a full visual of what they want me to buy because I will always get the wrong thing.
They get annoyed because nobody believes me when I say telling me what something looks like is not the same as showing me. When I’m shown what I’m looking for I’m going off by the brand’s colors, the product’s shape and size. I’m taking note of every detail of the item because I will not be able to rely on what it has to say.
Does anyone else have this problem?
