And to no surprise, TT is accessible in the US again. Don’t care, I already started following my favorite creators everywhere else. I’m more saddened at how many people put all their hopes in one app when knowing that’s a horrible idea. Besides government intervention, any and ALL media platforms can be gone without warning.
We got all the warnings signs to prepare for eventual removal. But of course, when one thing works for so long it’s difficult to move elsewhere. I truly feel sorry for such creators whose lives revolve around one app.
For goodness sake. Even though YouTube, Google, and Facebook (as an example) are lasting and growing, these two can easily one day vanish. Companies like Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail are still around but not to the extent as Google. At that, any day a company like WordPress could leave. And so I’m seeking out potential blogging sites that can be my backup.
Yet, like any business practice, one needs to be active on multiple platforms and promote their existence. I personally am uncomfortable with practicing tried and true business models with myself. But I understand it and can apply it when promoting and marketing other companies.
I really should practice what I preach. Which I do have multiple accounts account a range of platforms. I just need to be consistent and promote myself. There’s also the hassle of transferring files across different platforms, unless you have an efficient system in place. Which I generally like to believe I have.
