One of my biggest problems as a writer is my grammar and spelling. It takes me a while to figure out where to cute a sentence, because of how I speak. But when it comes to spelling, I’m just horrible.
But thanks to voice text, not only can I spell the word I’m trying to spell, but my speech also improves. Also, with Google, I’m able to find words I’m trying to describe. How could I use a paper dictionary if I don’t know how to say or spell the word? When looking up words, I also learn their meaning. Which helps to figure out if that’s the word I want to use. Which is also another struggle of mine. I also have issues with using the proper word, for what I’m trying to say. Which makes me have to go about describing the word, for someone to understand me. So, looking up spelling also helps my understanding of the words. Which helps me use them better.
Since writing fan-fiction I had expanded my vocabulary to get my point across. That is why I’m trying to keep a daily blog. To improve not only my writing but also my communication. Even when drafting this blog, I have many mistakes and misspellings. But I do my very bed to edit and correct them. So, I can have more of a polished piece. I also have issues with repeating and skipping words. This is due to thinking too fast, or when I’m trying to recap where I was.
But the point of the matter, is I acknowledge my mishaps, and work to better them. My goal this month is to write a daily blog and track my writing skills. I would like to be able to write full articles and leave an impression with my writing.
Thank you for reading.
