If you were to ask me what do I like to create, I would answer almost anything. I love to write and draw. If I get my hands on something, I’ll enjoy that too. But the problem is I wouldn’t consider myself a fanfic writer or fan-artist. It doesn’t feel like me. I do it because it’s fun, but also so I can have some boundaries to use as practice. My fan base work is just me trying to develop my style. The fact I currently have a fanfic that’s running past 120 chapters is just insane to me. I even have other fanfics that I need to finish.
But I feel stuck on them now, and it doesn’t make me happy. I enjoyed more creating my own works and was pleased to be recognized by it. I used to be very active on DeviantArt (under different names). But I loved sharing my own stories and ideas. Of course, I was in high school, and most of my past works are poorly written. If I were to revive them, it would take some time. Not all of them were good.
But funny enough, there is one high school piece that I passionately brought back to light. My Red Dragon series based on my story for Dark Princess Nona and Tenak. I’m happy I brought back that idea and gave it a second life. It now looks nothing like the original, but it makes me happy to bring back the concept. This was the only one that wasn’t based on my fight with my personal demons.
So, as I write my Red Dragon series, to sell on Amazon, I’m working on a second story. Soulmate is another passion project. Eventually, I’m going to end all my fanfics to focus on my own stories and art. Soulmate has many concepts I have tried in the past. Some who have followed my blog for a long time would be familiar with my “New World” blog post. Those concepts will be playing a significant role in Soulmates.
