If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?

The cactus among a rose garden.

Simply because it not only doesn’t belong there, but for so long it too believed to be a rose bush. But nobody ever complemented its beauty or acknowledged its differences. Instead it grows hearing the people and roses calling it the ugliest rose bush.

Until one day someone finally notices and uproot it to place in a different garden. Now in a new garden surrounded by other cactus, they’re all confused and scared.

But slowly with the encouragement of the other cactus, they learn more about themselves. They slowly embrace everything that was told was wrong with them. Along with finally getting the proper care they needed and deserved.

So when they spout their first flower, it’s layered with so many mixed emotions. And as each flower season passes they get better at handling the new appearance. Because for once in their life they have flowers, and no longer a flowerless rose bush.

They would still struggle with their long belief of being a rose bush. Sometimes so bad that the flowers never get to bloom during season. Which leads them to believe they’re a failure.

It would take many years before they no longer doubt they were never a rose bush.
