What technology would you be better off without, why?

That’s a difficult question. Especially when there’s a large range.

In hindsight I would say a massage gaming chair. Mainly because I don’t see a need for it, personally. Plus I don’t have one. It’s bulky and I don’t find it comfortable, for myself.

But if I was to choose something that I currently own, then perhaps a vacuum. Sure, it makes life so much easier to clean. But it’s loud, can be a hassle to deal with. And if I really wanted to clean my area rug the old fashion way, that’ll be extremely exhausting.

Like in general if you take away all the technology in the world then nothing would ever be made. We rely on tech from the simplest things we don’t think about to the obvious things like our cellphones.

Technically is what helps transport the wood we need to make the table we use. Technically helps mass produce the material we use to produce something as simple as a plastic bag. Hence why this question is very tricky to answer when you don’t consider the simplest things to not* be technically.

For example, a wooden pencil is a piece of technology. It’s not considered technology by current standards but it was at one point. Similar to tablets, chairs, clothes, and even the human body.
