Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?
The Metropolitan Museum, aka The Met. It’s in NYC. I miss going there, but hopefully one day I will return.
It’s a great museum, plus (unless they changed the rules) you can pay by donations. Which means you can pay with as little as a penny if that’s all you have, since it’s still a donation. It was the best place to go, second to Central Park, if you were on a broke budget but still wanted to experience something amazing.
There’s also the Bronx Zoo, which is free on Wednesday. Just be prepared to see a lot of students from different schools. Plus, not everything is open on free day, but just enough to enjoy.
There’s a lot of budget friendly places in NYC, but it’s something you would either need a local to tell you about or do a lot of researching. It’s easy to think that 42nd Street to 50th Street is where all the fun stuff is at, for tourists. But if you want to truly experience NYC in all it has to offer, reach out to locals and ask where they like to go. There’s also the activities outside the metro area that are lovely.
