It should have been simple. Just a quick trip to the moral plains and lay a few souls to rest. But no, the gods had other ideas. Especially the one I call father. Regardless there’s no turning back now. And gods how I tried. No ritual, no magical circles, not even runes work. At that, I took note of something disturbing. My magic was weak.
I looked up at the two moons that shone across the meadow I was standing in. How could this possibly be? When training with father my magic was unstoppable. Yet… Yet, in the moral plain my abilities were meaningless. At that, this plain lacks all the tools I need to properly use my magic. The beasts were different. The herbs and plants were different. Even the sky. For living with father there was no sky outside our home. Just a forest of mist. But now everything was vast and endless. What am I supposed to do?
After many rises of the twin suns I reached what seemed to be a small human settlement. I had encountered many humans along my path. Some were informative, others were pests. Regardless I stepped into the settlement and noticed the little ones looked at me with wonder, while the adults seemed to fear me. Can’t blame the lot. Especially what that adventure party told me. It seems I’m what the humans call a Reaper.
Such a strange to be called. Sure, after what I been told what a reaper was, I can see why I’ll be considered as one. But the adventures’ did state I don’t act or look like a typical reaper. Instead of the long black hair, I have short blonde hair. Instead empty red eyes, my actually look like eyes that happened to be green. At that, I had pale skin with red freckles. Reapers were white with black cracks all over their bodies. Yet it was my clothes and the way shadows react to me makes it seem I was a reaper.
Since I don’t know when I’ll be able to speak to father again, perhaps I should change my outfit. So with that in mind I looked through the settlement to see if there was any possible way to get new clothes. Yet, upsettingly this settlement was so small there was no such thing. Many of the humans were either travelers from bigger settlements and were passing by. While others usually waited for when their loved ones came back from travel. At last, I need to find a bigger settlement, maybe one that sold food. I was getting quite tired of hunting and gathering.
