Currently laughing at another overconsumption commentary video and I recalled the cereal container i grew up with (pic). It’s funny to me how in current culture we blame influencers for promoting overconsumptions when companies been doing this for decades.

It has always been an issue and also essential. At that, I’m still a recovering shopaholic. But when someone showcases their joy over an organization tool or a product that helps them with difficult tasks, I’m indifferent. I’m happy they found the product but I’ve already knew about it.
It’s one of those moments of “I’m happy for you but don’t expect me to share the same level of excitement.” Plus, it makes me sad seeing people frame this overconsumption lifestyle as a new phenomenon.
It has always been here. Especially after the Great Depression.
