The color pink, but due to what it meant when I was growing up. I’ve been told constantly that my favorite color being blue was wrong for the gender I was assigned. I never truly hated the color itself, but its general meaning based on gender. But as I grew and proved my stance on who I was as a person didn’t matter based on color, my family slowly backed off. Granted, sometimes they did question me about enjoying stereotypical feminine things, like Barbie, but to me that’s very gender neutral.
