So as of late, at least since I announced I wasn’t gonna add my workouts to the calorie tracker, I been aiming for a 1,500 calorie deficit.
The way I been working at it is my 3 big meals have to be no more than 300 calories each. This is taking into account sauces. While my snacks at the end of the day have to be no more than 600 calories.
Doing the math, 3 meals at 300 equals 900 calories. I’m trying to put the bulk of my eating into the main meals as much as possible. Again, I’m leaving room for sauces and stuff that don’t even reach 60 calories on their own.
So if a base meal, without adding sauces, equals 250 than I reached my calorie goal for that meal. If my meal goes over 300 than I have to cut back on my snack calorie allowance to make up the difference.
By having my calorie goal be 1,500 that means I can’t eat anything be less than 1,480. I think mentioned at one point my calorie deficit range I was trying. Which is between 1,420 to 1,670. But currently 1,420 is too drastic of a change, so I’m trying to build up to it.
Currently I reset my calorie intake in the app down from 1,693 to 1,648. I feel like I’m in a good place where I can lower this number for a few weeks before my surgery.
By my surgery I want to be at a where my snack allowance goes from 600 to 500. But I gotta work at that. Especially since it’s becoming difficult to eat enough food to reach my goal without feeling sick. Yet, if I rush it’ll bite me in the butt.
I hope I’m doing good enough that when I heal from surgery I don’t feel the munchies too often that I don’t eat a balanced diet.
